ALTO NG: Advanced All-Metal Aircraft

Discover the next generation of ultralight aviation excellence

Introducing the ALTO NG

Next-Generation Design

The ALTO NG represents the evolution of our popular all-metal aircraft, developed under the new Czech certification UL-2 with 600 kg MTOW. Built on more than fifteen years of operational experience with flight schools, aeroclubs, and pilots across the Czech Republic and internationally, this aircraft maintains the exceptional flight characteristics that made the original ALTO successful.

Enhanced Engineering

Key improvements include redesigned engine bed and cowling, strengthened front leg and fuselage, and a completely modified elevator control system. The aircraft now features push-pull rods instead of control cables, providing more precise and reliable flight control for both new and experienced pilots.

All-Metal Construction Excellence

The ALTO NG is a single-engine, two-seat, self-supporting monoplane designed as a simple all-metal aircraft suitable for assembly in amateur conditions. Despite its straightforward construction, it delivers performance that meets industry standards in its category while maintaining low maintenance costs and providing easy, comfortable flight control.

Proven Power

Equipped with the reliable ROTAX 912 ULs engine, providing sufficient power for its category

Wing Design Excellence

The advantages of the ALTO NG lie in its simple and comfortable piloting, guaranteed by the innovative wing design. The rectangular wing plan and profile with a blunt leading edge provide predictable stall characteristics and behavior, making the aircraft forgiving and easy to control.

The wing features semi-monocoque construction and is equipped with built-in fuel tanks with a total capacity of 92 liters. This integrated tank design optimizes weight distribution and maximizes usable fuel capacity while maintaining structural integrity.

Wing Features

  • Rectangular wing plan
  • Blunt leading edge profile
  • Predictable stall behavior
  • Semi-monocoque structure
  • Integrated 92L fuel tanks

Fuselage Construction

The rear of the fuselage is designed with a rectangular cross section featuring an oval upper surface. The stiffness of the structure is secured by diagonal webs, providing exceptional rigidity while maintaining lightweight construction. The wing-fuselage connection is engineered as an interconnection of the wing beams with the center plane of the airplane by means of flanged bolts, ensuring a secure and reliable structural joint.

Tail Surfaces and Stability

Traditional Arrangement

The horizontal and vertical tail surfaces feature a traditional arrangement that provides proven stability and control characteristics. This time-tested configuration ensures predictable handling in all flight conditions.

Advanced Construction

Tail surfaces are manufactured as riveted structures with composite end arcs. This combination of metal and composite materials optimizes strength-to-weight ratio while maintaining durability and precision.

Flight Control Systems

Primary Controls

Flight control transmission from the control stick is realized through an advanced system of push-pull rods, replacing the cable system used in previous models. This modification provides more direct, precise control response and reduces maintenance requirements.

Ground Control

Directional steering of the front landing gear leg is coupled with pedals for changing aircraft direction on the ground. The hydraulic brakes are controlled by a centrally located lever on the center panel, providing intuitive and effective braking control.

Enhanced Reliability

The push-pull rod system represents a significant advancement in the ALTO NG, offering improved reliability, reduced wear, and more consistent control feel throughout the aircraft's operational envelope.

Landing Gear Design

The landing gear is designed as a three-wheel configuration with a steerable front wheel. The main wheels are fixed to the fuselage on flexible laminate legs, providing excellent shock absorption and durability. This design offers a perfect balance between simplicity, reliability, and performance.

Tricycle Configuration

Three-wheel design with nose wheel steering for excellent ground handling and visibility during taxi operations

Flexible Laminate Legs

Main gear features flexible laminate construction that absorbs landing loads while maintaining structural integrity

Cockpit Access and Comfort

Easy Entry

Access to the cockpit is secured by means of footpaths located at the trailing edge of the wing, providing safe and convenient entry for both pilot and passenger. The design ensures easy boarding without compromising structural integrity.

Spacious Interior

The spacious 110 cm wide cockpit provides plenty of room for comfortable control of the aircraft. The generous width accommodates pilots of various sizes and allows for extended flight operations without fatigue. The cockpit roof slides forward on rails, offering excellent visibility and ventilation options.
