It was a quiet afternoon at 7 Stichwort Lane, Ashford — until seven-year-old Tyler made a grand announcement that would change everything.
Tyler had been reading a story about a boy who built his own circus — and decided it was the perfect activity for the afternoon.
Took her seat on the sofa as the official audience, ready to cheer on the performers.
Propped up the tablet so the whole family could share the moment together.
Joined via video call all the way from Fourways, South Africa — not a seat to be missed!
Tyler waved a feather wand and made the grand announcement. Jack the ginger tabby strolled into the center of the living room — let out a massive yawn — and promptly lay down on his side, refusing to look fierce at all.
Mum Michaela chuckled, and Granddad Richard's laughter echoed through the tablet.
"At Waterfall Kennels, we've been looking after pets since the Stubbs family established it in 1959. It's the oldest pet boarding facility in South Africa — and I can tell you, you can never predict what a cat will do!"

Jordyn delivered a dramatic drumroll. Tyler held up a hoop made of rolled-up newspaper and called out:
"Jump, Joey, jump!"
Joey stared at the hoop. He looked at Tyler. Then came the wiggle of his hindquarters…
Joey leaped — not through the hoop, but completely over Tyler's head — landing perfectly on the back of the sofa right next to Mum Michaela!
The audience erupted into applause.

In one spectacular, unscripted moment, Joey the acrobat stole the entire show — soaring over the ringmaster's head and sticking a flawless landing on the sofa.
Startled by the applause, Jack the "fierce lion" finally decided to participate. He trotted over, snatched the newspaper hoop in his teeth, and proudly carried it out of the room — delivering the most dignified exit in circus history.
Tyler beamed and took a deep bow — the show had exceeded all expectations.
Jordyn stood and bowed alongside her brother, drumsticks in hand.
Jack and Joey — in their own unpredictable way — delivered a performance no one would forget.
No big top. No trained performers. No script. Just two kids, two cats, a toy drum, a newspaper hoop, and a family laughing together across two continents.
It was the best circus Ashford had ever seen.
